| Bree Van De Kamp, is a stepford wife who strives for perfection. Her marrage to Rex, a doctor, is failing as Rex likes things rough, shall we say. She has two children, a son Andrew who run over Mama Solis after a drunken joy ride, and Michelle who hates her mother and has her heart set on Gabrielles gardener John. Bree is also a passionate member of the NRA, and dated local pharmasist, George, to try and get her own back on her adulterus husband, which ended badly when he shot himself in the foot, and then became obsessed with her. George's obsession with Bree took a deadly turn when he effectivly murdered her husband by replacing his heart medication with potasium, which killed him. Leaving Bree a widow with two kids. |
Marcia Cross
Born 25th march 1962, Marcia graducated from Juilliards School in New york, and also has a Masters degree in Psychology. Marcia's big break came in 1992 when she won a lead role on the soap Melrose Place, where she played Kimberly Shaw for 6 years. In 1993, Marcia suffered the loss of her longtime companion Richard Jordan and hasn't dated anyone since then. Since then Marcia played small roles, until she landed another lead part on the soap Everwood. She only stayed on the show for a year, and then went on to take the role of Bree Van De Kamp on Desperate Housewives, which has earned her, a golden globe nomination for her role. And the show won a SAG award.
